Rebekah Edwards is a young ambitious engineer who wants to make a good impression in her field. Rebekah knows that in order to succeed in a male-dominated field, she must stay clear of drama and far from any hint of trouble. When summoned to the annual Sustainable Building Conference, she knows it’s the perfect opportunity. What she isn’t expecting is to be totally enraptured by one of the keynote speaks and she’s not only attracted to what he is saying.
Emile Martin is the epitome of the perfect man: handsome, intelligent, and confident. He gets what he wants. When he sets his sights on her joyful youth, Rebekah finds herself undeniably drawn to him. As he doggedly pursues her with his deliciously seductive charm, her apprehension gives way to insatiable desire at precisely the wrong time.
As the days of the conference go by, Rebekah’s feelings for Emile intensify as she desperately tries to keep it a secret. Succumbing to this man could be the very thing that ruins her. How can she keep her secret with so many eyes surrounding her?
First Line: “The jet lag was taking its toll. It wouldn’t be until the second day of the conference that Rebekah Edwards would feel like herself again…”
Nothing is sexier than sexy.
Emile is sexy.
You do the math 🤓
I can’t even begin to tell you all how much I love this novella. It’s impeccably written, the heroine is absolutely relatable, and the hero (Mr. S-e-x-y) is…well…I have absolute faith in your ability to connect the dots.
Rebekah Edwards has finally been offered a chance to attend a sustainability conference. She’s amongst people she can only dream of one day calling her peers. She’s in awe of the brilliance surrounding her and she’s excited for the opportunity of a lifetime to prove herself.
Except she’s jet lagged.
She felt pangs of nervousness as she looked around at their faces. Focused. Passionate. Her idols. Too bad she was too exhausted to even hold her pen in its upright position. God, I hope no one saw that…
She’s also severely distracted by the dreamy man giving a lecture about—you guessed it—sustainability. What is it about smart men that makes me want to record them walking towards me and play it back in slow motion?
The combination of what he was saying and how he said it had her completely spellbound. By the end of the session, she had to restrain herself from catapulting herself up in a standing ovation.
That good, eh?😁
Rebekah has officially met trouble. She can’t be attracted to his man! He’s technically her superior, and she’s there to “work,” not play. Oh…but she plays. A lot.
She can’t help but be drawn to Emile the sexy geek from Argentina. And Emile can’t help but find Rebekah absolutely refreshing, intelligent and passionate.
Are people going to notice Rebekah’s affair with Mr. Sexy? Is all that she’s worked for going to be put at stake because she can’t keep her drool from puddling at her feet?
Umm. Yes, Rebekah certainly has a lot to lose here!
But the conference doesn’t last forever, and Emile and Rebekah must make a choice. How can you make a choice like that after one weekend? Well, they do, my friends. Oh! My heart.
If I were her, I’d add one and one together and escape to Argentina with this sexy fiend.
